Product Card - Product Inventory Management

The product card Inventory panel provides an easy way to manage quantities of a particular product and its sub-products. The ability to set quantities, price, sale price and warehouse location per sub-product in such an easy way is quite powerful.

Sub-Products
Sub-products are essentially the same product yet differ in specific attributes, such as color and size. Each sub-product has its own unique SKU and quantity. You can also set a different price and sale-price per sub-product.

Color
Sub-products of the same color can have a set of images different than sub-products of another color.
To create a new color, click the Color button and enter the color name in the box. Enter the sub-product info and check its Active checkbox,. Click the Save button.

Size
Sub-products of the same color can be of a different size.

Product Tangents
The basic product tangents are Color and Size. You may set different tangents based on the product needs. See Product Tangents article for more information.

Active Set whether the product is displayed on the website.
Size Enter the size of the sub-product. Examples: Medium, Large, M, L, 25, 26, 27.
SKU The SKU (Stock-Keeping Unit) is generated for your product automatically. You can replace the auto-generated value with your own.
Qty in Stock The amount of product units on hand which are ready to be sold and shipped.
Price The product selling price.
Sale Price The product special selling price. If this box is empty, then the "Price" will be used.
MSRP Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price. You may choose to enter a value in this box to be displayed next to the actual selling price as a selling incentive.
COGS Cost of Goods Sold. You may choose to enter a value in this box for your administration purposes. This value will not be displayed on the website.
Warehouse The product location in your warehouse. You may enter, for example, aisle, shelf and bin numbers.
db The product unique identification number in the website's database.
Default Click the button to set the default sub-product which will be displayed on the category index page for this group of sub-products.
